Just when you thought that the $100 discount on the Xbox 360 Elite console packages was a way to achieve new price parity with the PlayStation 3 price drops… Microsoft [MSFT] strikes yet again, hot on the heels of the exciting Modern Warfare 2 limited edition Xbox 360 Elite announcement, with an additional Xbox 360 Elite price deal.
This time, it is a $50 rebate on the Xbox 360 Elite when purchased between now and October 5, 2009.

It’s ironic that it is perhaps one of the few times where “Best Buy” actually lives up to its name. The question is now: Will Best Buy honor their agreement to savvy customers?
