Yes, one of the nice things about the Call of Duty Elite service is that you can volunteer to participate in one of several competitions online, via the Multiplayer modes. Tomorrow, at 11:00 AM PDT, it appears that the grand winner for the Core Capture the Flag matches will get the Elite Poker Set.

For a WordPress child theme, much less a “full” or “parent” theme, to offer 100% of its proceeds to a charity is something that you do not hear about.
Ever.
Until now: Michael Kuhlmann, who has designed other WordPress themes before, has offered his Hope child theme, built on Alex King’s Carrington Business product, as a way to attract funding for the World Vision charity.

You may have heard that Gearbox Software, the guys behind Borderlands, have acquired the DNF license and are moving forward with development. But Randy Pitchford, the Gearbox president, has been trying to start talks with various retailers who were taking pre-orders for DNF when it was originally announced years ago… perhaps to gauge how many pre-orders may be still out there.
This may benefit folks who still have their intact, legible receipt, presumably. Who knows? Maybe you’ll get a special gift for your special status. It’ll be interesting to see how this saga continues.
Tomorrow, celebrating either the US tax return filing deadline (April 15) or resources preservation, Starbucks [SBUX] is offering free coffee to pour into the mug that you bring in with you to their stores.
Now, there is some dispute whether this also applies to coffee drinkers who usually obtain multiple coffee refills in the course of a day, or even any given hour.
Still, it’s a nice offer and a good gesture to the community.
