Apple iPhone Day
You’d think it was an early Christmas, or something like it, judging from the lines of (im)patient iPhone “wanters” (or perhaps, “iWanters”) outside of the various Apple Stores across the country, such as the one in the Clarendon district in Northern Virginia. It was only a few months ago for the iPad rollout that the iWanters congregated for a new Apple [AAPL] device. Oddly, there did not seem to be any iPaders or iPod-touchers lurking in the line… was this a strictly iPhone-only iWanter bunch?
Once the stores opened, the flocks of people began receiving their treasured smartphones as quickly as the customer service staff could hand and process them out. And, as a plus, given today’s mega-swelter in the Washington, DC area, some iWanters also received a free bottle of water.

Note how the blizzard warning has been extended until later this evening.
And how odd it is that the story mentions the start of the blizzard warning as 10 AM… since the story was posted earlier today, and just by looking out the window, it’s obvious that the blizzard has been with us already…
