Happy New Year, 2011 Edition
Welcome to 2011, folks!
Happy New Year!
As we are ensconced here, in the early morning hours of Christmas Day 2010, there are snow flurries falling silently to the ground outside, as we once more march into the breach in the mega-massive cloud of Call of Duty: Black Ops multiplayer matches.
Happy (American) Thanksgiving Day to all you celebrants out there!
While this year continues the multi-year economic downward pressure for many families, there is still time to reflect on happier things that may come along in the near future.
And in the meantime, there’s still Call of Duty: Black Ops and Borderlands and even Halo: Reach…
Today is Veterans Day.
Get ready to observe the holiday with a moment of silence at 11:00 AM today.
Happy Fourth of July! (to all the American peeps)
Relax; take it easy!
Just in time to wrangle over the bits ‘n pieces left around the U.S. healthcare reform legislation: today is the second celebrated/marked Ada Lovelace Day!
Ada Lovelace was reported to have died from excessive bloodletting, which may have been triggered by a diagnosis of uterine cancer.
Will the Washington, DC area get that wondrous white Christmas this year?
We just had a massive snowstorm a few days ago, and while many of the primary thoroughfares have been cleared for public consumption, there are still plenty of secondary roads that desperately require attention.
Some weatherpersons are reporting the possibility of another large snowstorm coming into the region, however, so perhaps it could happen…
Anybody notice any cyberattacks on their Web sites or portals over the 4th of July weekend?
Folks in the U.S. (and abroad, too!), enjoy a happy and safe 4th of July…

No, March 24 was not the day Ada Lovelace was purported to have died. Not actually sure why that day was selected.
