FROM: Javamancy, the Weblog
After more than nine (9) years, the DevPal sites, including Javamancy, have departed from its old site host, migrating content and accounts to a couple of new site hosts, thereby splitting the overall workload. This is in addition to the site hosts that are already managing the traffic for newer DevPal properties.
Earlier today, the graduation announcement went out for Apache Subversion: it has formally left the Apache Incubator and is now a full-fledged Apache project!
Congratulations to all of the Subversion committers and volunteers!
Greetings and salutations from the Javamancy family to the Year 2010 A.D.! 
You’re currently perusing the Javamancy mini, the companion to Javamancy, the Weblog. If you haven’t visited Javamancy yet, we certainly encourage you to do so. 
Yes, I know, I know…
A lot of the people, when they encounter a WordPress blog with either the Prologue theme or the P2 theme running, immediately think, “Oh, it’s yet another TwitBlog or Tumblog.”
But keep in mind that there’s still Javamancy, the Blog, still in operation (and it will be for the foreseeable future).
But sometimes there are occasions where I’d like to toss something interesting out there, that does not rely upon that “formal” approach to blogging that most people associate with the Javamancy experience. Something in a more abbreviated format… something, say, mini…
… Or, even weirder, something that goes over some of the decision-making behind what happens on Javamancy…
And that’s where Javamancy mini enters the picture.
There are obviously plenty of things to add to this new system, but let’s see how organically it can grow…
