Yes, that's right... a fun game studio like Double Fine Productions has resorted to Kickstarter to raise funds!
Sometimes, it just makes sense…
Like, when you think about all of the fantastic indie games that have come out lately, and how some game publishers have gone hog wild on putting a stranglehold on fun, creative projects to maximize their profits on the same old hum-drum, tired franchises…
So, Double Fine Productions has recently launched a Kickstarter project page to raise some bucks for an upcoming game.

Not sure exactly why, but this also reminds me of Louis C.K.’s recent DRM-free online offering of one of his live performances. It’s nice to see that there are newer, better methods of content distribution that shorten the proverbial distance between the real producers and their audiences.
