Note During Apple’s Announcement: The Apple Store is Still LIVE
For those of you who have been passing around the rumors that the Apple Store and the Apple Developer Connection are DOWN:
Both of the sites, as of right now, are still live ‘n kickin’!

Waiting for the actual dimensions of the iPad…
This may be that sweet spot form factor that I’ve been waiting for 2+ years now… Is the iPad the capable successor to my PowerBook 12″?
So…
The reason there’s a comfy chair onstage is, of course, that Steve needs a place to lounge while showcasing the new Apple [AAPL] device: the iPad!
(Remember those misspellings over the past several years where people would mistakenly call the iPod as the “iPad”?)
Hmm… Remember when we were looking at this blog post about the positioning of the long-gone PowerBook 12″ and the missing gap in Apple’s product line:

Okay:
1. iPod sales are good. Check.
2. Apple Retail Stores are good. Check.
3. iTunes App Store sales are good. Check.
When can I get an iPhone on Sprint?
Don’t know. When can u?
Don’t think it’s gonna happen this year. Looks like AT&T is the lock-in for now.
Steve Jobs is on the stage for the Apple [AAPL] presentation…
Are we going to get that CDMA version of the iPhone? That would be a big win for either/both Sprint [S] and Verizon [VZ].
The Apple [AAPL] announcement, that a lot of people are certainly interested and curious about, is coming soon!
When are they going to shut down the online Apple Store? (Or will they for today’s event, or is it something that won’t be available until later this year?)
Keith has an interesting point, when he describes the problem of short URLs being posted as comments: http://weblogtoolscollection.com/archives/2010/01/13/shorturl-comment-spam-problem/
Although this is something that seems to prevail as message board spam and Twitter spam and E-mail spam, it’s not much of a stretch to see how blog comment spam could become a serious problem in the near future.
Is it possible that we may start to see the rise of “certified” URL shortening services? Hmm…

Yeah, yeah, it’s been more than a year since I raised this issue.
But from other peeps’ comments, I wasn’t the only one.
