Even slicker: use the iPad as the primary input device for a Mac/Mac Pro… like, say, the keyboard and touchpad… and allow the iPad to dynamically change the interface it presents, based upon the active app. So, something like a video player would trigger a specific set of controls on the iPad surface.

Here’s a curious thought:
Wouldn’t it be cool if the iPad could be configured to act as a second, or even replacement, display for a MacBook or Mac Pro?

Here’s the Kicker: Apple iPad Pricing
Here’s a snapshot of the slide that Steve Jobs is showing, on the iPad pricing:
Now, keep in mind that a lot of people are not fans of AT&T [T] data service, especially in metropolitan areas. And it does seem that there is no subsidized pricing for the iPad, so the attractiveness of the device may be initially to iPod touch users who have yearned for significantly larger screens and more features.

iPad + AT&T GSM
Well, there will apparently be a “WiFi + 3G” version (at least one) of the iPad, with an accompanying optional data plan from AT&T [T].
For unlimited data transfer: $29.99/month.
For up to 250 MB data transfer per month: $14.99/month. -

If many of the Mac-native or even Java client apps aren’t being reassembled into iPad apps, then the market for cloud-centric Web apps may be much-much-much larger and more significant than people have previously thought.
Remember when there initially wasn’t a publicly available iPhone SDK for developers to build iPhone and iPod touch apps?

I think each of the device has its own drawbacks. HP Slate supports Flash and AIR but runs vulnerable Win7 in other hand Apple iPad have no flash support but has much credible OS. Anyways you can also see this post: HP Slate boast Adobe AIR and Flash support hits iPad drawbacks
