You knew it was going to happen eventually… YouTube [GOOG] would have to follow in the footsteps of other Google properties in using some sort of ad-based revenue model.
It’s coming now: for user-generated/uploaded content, YouTube/Google will somehow ask users whether they would like to allow ads to be applied to their videos, and if yes, then those users would get a bit of the ad revenue.
For those “in the know”, the Inner.DevPal.Net site has been up and running for several days at this point.
E-mail me your thoughts/comments/ideas about it. Thanks!
Curious… is Nokia finally jumping onto the netbook/discount arena to stem the tide of defections toward other manufacturers, or to do something completely different?
And what about Maemo, now?
Yes, that’s right, folks:
As of right now, you can pre-order OS X 10.6, named “Snow Leopard”, from the online Apple [AAPL] Store, to ship on August 28, 2009.
Any takers?
Not willing to concede the console wars to Microsoft [MSFT] yet, Sony [SNE] is stickin’ in the game with the revamped PS3 Slim format, with a price reduction and a firmed-up release date for North America.
CNET even has an article about it.
Interesting, right?
Wow… is it true that FINALLY Verizon [VZ] will be sharing their repeaters in the Metro underground facilities with all other major cell carriers?
After all this time, Sony’s PS3 will finally be released in its slim format, similar in concept to the current run of PS2 slim formats.
Did anybody get at least one of the 52″ Samsung HDTV’s from the Best Buy [BBY] web site for $9.99 USD before they yanked the link?
It’s ironic that it is perhaps one of the few times where “Best Buy” actually lives up to its name. The question is now: Will Best Buy honor their agreement to savvy customers?
Several people have commented to me about wanting to know why certain people, especially corporate officers and other company officials as well as government folks, visit/use/manipulate Twitter frequently.
I’ve even had a several teenagers and a couple of early-20′ers ask me about Twitter. They’ve told me that they just don’t “get it”… quite a surprising statement (superficially) from these people… until I realized that these “kids” aren’t the technophiles that the mainstream media loves to report about– these are the young’uns that have been bypassed by several generations of current online technology that have arrived in the past few years.
However, I also think it’s surprising since there seem to be so many articles and books floating around about Twitter…
