Being Cool at Comic-Con? Check Out These Seven…

Sometimes you just have to have a good laugh. And other times, you may be really serious– or at least trying to be.

But Comic-Con is one of those singular (yet yearly) events that has its own rhythm… its own reason for being. And if you’re trying to “be” there, there are a few tips, courtesy of Newsweek, that you might want to heed: Seven Ways to be Cool at Comic-Con.

The irksome thing about Cyberduck’s update mechanism is that, after it moves the old copy to the Trash, it is sometimes impossible to clear the Trash because of some vestiges of abandoned memory access left (file handles, anyone?). The memory mapped itself is has lost its references, so the system cannot reclaim it, and it is unallocatable to other applications.

Wonder why it happens so often to Cyberduck but not other applications with update mechanisms incorporated into their code?

    Comic-Con 2009 Starts Today

This is the “big-gun” Comic-Con International 2009 at the San Diego Convention Center, in (where else?) San Diego, California.

So far, Comic-Con is the largest of its kind in the world, and it may continue to function as an early-access valve to seeing what is coming soon in the entertainment industry, as well as allowing producers and directors to pick up ideas (or completely option entire franchises) for their Next Big Thing.

    N.B.

Why does it shock PHP developers that Javamancy (and the rest of DevPal, for that matter) uses Ant to build, customize, and assemble PHP Web applications, like WordPress?

It’s a thing that makes us go, “Hmm…”
