A MacRumors post is suggesting that it’s high time for Apple [AAPL] to start rolling out its 2009 product refreshes, as well as any new items on the roadmap. One of the things that Apple is now sensitive to is, of course, the Intel [INTC] product roadmap, particularly the CPU rollouts. As you’ve probably seen, [...]

The Setup The tablet computer… Ah, that odd-ish accoutrement for fancy businesspeople. Or, the funky toy for the truly geekish crowd. Or is it something else? Actually, regardless of what you intend to do with it, just make sure it can do everything you need it to do… And perhaps that is the key reason [...]
Twenty-five years ago, when the Apple II series and IBM PC’s were fighting out their battles for dominance, Apple [AAPL] introduced a new microcomputer to the world in the form of the Macintosh, a strongly visual-oriented computer designed to make the concepts from its Xerox PARC inspired design readily accessible to the public. Now, at [...]
Hot on the heels of its iPhone rollout at the Best Buy retail chain that began this past Sunday, Apple [AAPL] is giving its September product announcements under its new “Let’s Rock” program, starting at 1:00 PM ET (10:00 AM PT). A Little Bit: The rumors floating around for the past several weeks about the Apple [AAPL] September product announcements have solidified: Engadget has a post confirming September 9, 2008 as the date. The anticipated product line for the refresh is the iPod. However, I’m still hopeful for MacBook and MacBook Pro refreshes and updates.:-)

As I was struggling with the various issues and advantages of each package and device late into the nights, [...]
Preface Folks, this is one of those historical tales of wonder (or, alternatively, extreme boredom) that I bring out whenever somebody has one of those funny ah-ha stories they bring to my attention. In the Beginning Way back in the primordial days of modern computing, I programmed on an Apple. Not a Mac, but an [...]
In case you missed this announcement back on June 16, 2008… The folks at Macworld have been showcasing what they call “Mac Gems” weekly for quite some time, but starting on June 16 and continuing until sometime in mid-August, they’re planning on presenting Mac Gems every day. A “Mac Gem” is free or low-cost software [...]
As many of you know, and some of you have figured out, I use Macs. It isn’t merely one or two Macs, either. No… let’s just say, “Several. Oh yes, M-A-N-Y.” Because of the army of Macs milling about, it’s important to make sure that a codified standard tool set is available on each of [...]
