			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>Yesterday, <a href="http://bbpress.org/blog/2009/07/bbpress-1-0-final-finally-released/" target="_blank">bbPress 1.0 was announced to be officially released</a> and available for downloading.</p>
<p>For those of you not familiar with the software, it is PHP-based forum software that owes its existence to WordPress. In fact, it is often deployed alongside WordPress instances in order to provide forum capabilities to the weblog.</p>
<p><em>Or is it <span style="font-style: normal;">vice versa</span>?</em></p>
<p>bbPress has been in its pre-1.0 release state for quite some time now, so this appears to be a good time to finally have it reach its &#8220;official&#8221; 1.0 status.</p>
