<p>Given the omnipresence of the Internet and the near-ubiquity of pranksters, many netizens are extra-wary of practical and not-so-practical jokes that spin wildly out of control on this day.</p>
<p>This year, there seems to be an intensification of the warnings against at least one of the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conficker" target="_blank">Conficker (or Konfigure) worm</a> variants. Funny? Not very, if you&#8217;re a Windows user. Hopefully, this year, there will not be anything drastically horrific or time-consumingly disastrous.</p>
