Today is an interesting Apple [AAPL] media event: this is the timeframe during which Apple’s mobile devices, iOS-based, tend to get their product refresh/rollout announcements.
For the past couple of years, the news about the rumored iPhone 5 have been swirling around intermittently, but with Steve Jobs’ demise, the future of many of the Apple products that fans and critics love (or, love to hate) has been in question. So today’s event is one of those things that may define Tim Cook’s leadership and vision, as well as determine whether Steve’s roadmap that his successors have inherited is capable of standing the test of time.
