Yesterday, bbPress 1.0 was announced to be officially released and available for downloading.
For those of you not familiar with the software, it is PHP-based forum software that owes its existence to WordPress. In fact, it is often deployed alongside WordPress instances in order to provide forum capabilities to the weblog.
Or is it vice versa?
bbPress has been in its pre-1.0 release state for quite some time now, so this appears to be a good time to finally have it reach its “official” 1.0 status.
