More Definitive Statement:WordPress Themes are GPL’ed

This issue of whether themes and other code modifications to the WordPress software should comply with the GNU General Public License now has a more firm statement set to the dispute:

A reply to Matt’s request to the SFLC has come back, and it plainly states that, yes, the code aspects of themes fall within GPL, whereas images and other multimedia products may or may not, depending on their origin(s) and their authors.
