Steve Jobs and His New Liver

It seems that Steve may still require a bit more recuperating time, after his liver transplant. Although the most recent company reports are that he’s still on-track for a return to the helm by the end of June, which is just a scant few days from now, the amount of surgical dissection to make way for the incoming liver (and the outgoing liver, for that matter) may be extensive enough to require several extra weeks’ worth of recovery.

Given the current course of guidance that Apple [AAPL] has so far, a few more weeks before Steve resumes his expected workload should not be terribly taxing on the organization… What the stock price may feel, on the other hand, may be less certain.

There are probably going to be an avalanche of funky stories about Steve on Monday, so we’ll have to monitor the situation… ;-)

N.B.

Some of the initial reports about Steve’s transplant had the timeframe about a few weeks ago; later reports are placing the procedure at least a couple of months ago.

And, yes, folks: once Steve Jobs is back online, it’ll be the Seven Steves once again. :-)
