Earlier, WordPress 2.8 was released to the public, and it was announced by Matt over at its development blog.
Although this is considered a major release, with plenty of new features, a lot of these new items are associated with the admin console and improving the blog customization and management. Of course, in addition to the new features, about 790 bugs were also addressed.
