Later today, the announcements regarding the iPhone OS, version 3.0, will be made during an Apple [AAPL] media event.
While there may be plenty of new features added to the operating system, and the accompanying products that rely upon it, the biggest yet most fundamental of features that is expected to be announced is the cut/copy/paste capability. But in addition to that, having more APIs available to developers, providing even more programming flexibility and opportunities, continues to make the iPhone OS and overall platform, with the two different devices (not just form factors) and audiences, a much more attractive development target than ever before, and certainly beyond many of its competitors.
