Javamancy Article Timing/Scheduling Hiccups

Folks, if you’ve been experiencing some odd date/time issues with Javamancy’s posts all day, you’re not crazy.

While we’d adjusted the system manually for the US Daylight Savings Time on March 8, 2009, there was a problem with a system backup and restore earlier today that unfortunately tossed a few posts into disarray. Now, granted, this is usually not a big deal for both us and hopefully you, gentle readers, but today is one of those odd exceptional days, like the OpenID discussion and the iPod shuffle release.

Here is a list of the affected posts (in their reverse chronological release order)– and the times listed on the post are not the correct times:

If you check the daily list, you’ll see that the final outcome is a bit different from what is listed above. However, what’s done is done; there is no burning need to go back and adjust the times “back” to their original values.

N.B.

Sorry to the folks who have had their RSS feed somewhat tossed into disarray over this!

Also, you’ll note that one of the posts has been retracted (more like “redacted”, right? ;-) ). Don’t worry, it will return with updated information tomorrow.
