As the change of power in the U.S. Presidency occurs at 12:00 noon EST today (in a mere 30 minutes), it is interesting to see the whole array of past surviving Presidents stroll toward the dais in preparation for Barack Obama’s inaugural speech and the swearing ceremony.

For those of us who have lived through all of these different eras, from Carter through the latter Bush’s administrations, it is a walk through history, in a matter of a few minutes, of both good and not-so-good executive decisions and their wide ranging impact on the United States of America and the world.

And the continuum continues as of today, with the forty-fourth (44th) President of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama.
