Earlier today, Javamancy completed the upgrade to WordPress 2.7.
Thanks for being patient with us. A lot of you fellow bloggers have been upgrading your WordPress blogs as well, so hopefully it’s been relatively uneventful for you. This is a fairly large sea change for the admin console UI (as a lot of other WP-bloggers have mentioned), but the public UI– that’s what you’re looking at right now– is essentially unchanged. Just like with WordPress 2.6.5, more cruft was removed with this major update.
Yes, it does seem odd to have another major upgrade so soon after the 2.6.5 upgrade. But this one has also been a long-awaited release, with the 2.6.x maintenance/upgrade releases dotting the interregnum. During our QA testing, several iterations were required to ferret out and correct bugs that popped up; in some cases, workarounds were provided that may be reworked in the coming weeks, or until another package upgrade obviates the need for them.
At any rate, we’ll be returning to our regularly scheduled content programming shortly.
New Way of Upgrading Now?
Some WP-bloggers have touted the automated upgrade facility. However, please keep in mind that it does not replace Javamancy‘s upgrade mechanism at all!

Is it my imagination or is Javamancy really slow since the upgrade?
