To top it off (you’ll see what I mean), here’s an online reprint from my second Moleskine about yet another most curious (and disappointing) major event in the history of fast-food customer service:
A Funny Thing Happened at McDonald’s…
When I went over to a nearby McDonald’s for a late lunch today, I was shocked to discover that the Double Cheeseburger was removed from the Dollar Menu, replaced by a new burger, the McDouble.
The difference? The McDouble only has a single slice of cheese [instead of two slices, compared to the Double Cheeseburger]!
And what happened to the Double Cheeseburger, I wondered… Well, it suffered a major price increase (of no less than 19%) to $1.19!
Shocking!
N.B.
This is one of those stories that makes for some really interesting titles…
