Whoa, folks! The Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) for 2008 is almost upon us!
Just like before, it’s being held in downtown Seattle, Washington, from August 29th to August 31st, 2008.
Developers, gamers, gamer-fans, and industry folks should be well-represented up there. Given the cold shoulder (brrrr!) that E3 has shown in the past couple of years (including this year) to the very audience that it was supposedly created for, independent outlets like PAX become significantly more important and valuable to the game industry and the developer community. And based upon the events scheduling and descriptions released for this year’s PAX, it looks like both industry heavyweights and independent studios are well-represented, so attendees should be able to get quite an enriching experience starting tomorrow!
The Guild? What Guild?
And for you Felicia Day fans (remember her from the Cheetos commercial and Dr. Horrible’s?) will be able to get a viewing of the first season at PAX, then yell at Felicia and the producer Kim afterward.
N.B.
Andy is heading out to PAX for at least one day of hanging out. I hope he can transmit some photos back… maybe even squeeze a quickie interview with some folks.
