Ozh has been nice enough to begin enumerating gotcha’s associated with the upcoming WordPress 2.6 release, based upon the current beta 2 version of the software.

It seems like just last month that, here on Javamancy, I upgraded WordPress from 2.5 to 2.5.1 (actually, it was a further back in the past than that!), driven primarily by the reported security issues. There are even folks who have blogged about the dangers posed by the security issues.

Well, now that WordPress 2.6 is getting closer to its FCS release, it is time to plan any necessary modifications to the base to account for desired changes.
