Download Day 2008

Have you downloaded your Firefox 3.0 today?

If you tried to download it right after it was announced around 1:16 PM ET today, and you managed to get through, then you’re one of the lucky ones.

Apparently, the overwhelming traffic took down the primary download servers that the Mozilla bunch set up.

The good news is that the download demand has since dropped, and the servers have been brought back up (or vice versa, depending on how you tend to think of it).

There was even mention by the Mozilla guys that they were hoping to get a Guinness World Record for most downloads. Don’t worry: you have until 11:16 AM PDT (18:16 UTC) on June 18, 2008 (tomorrow).

So… if you haven’t fetched your copy yet, try the cute image link in this post to fetch your very own Firefox 3.0!
