Remember the Salmonellosis linked to raw tomatoes I discussed yesterday?
Today’s update from the FDA includes two key points:
- The warning now applies to all consumers nationwide, not merely consumers in the states previously listed with reported cases;
- Additional states were added to the list of places producing tomatoes that are not associated with the Salmonellosis outbreak.
The list of places producing tomatoes not associated with the outbreak is now:
- Alabama
- Arkansas
- Belgium
- California
- Canada
- Dominican Republic
- Georgia
- Guatemala
- Hawaii
- Israel
- Louisiana
- Maine
- Maryland
- Minnesota
- Mississippi
- Netherlands
- New York
- Nebraska
- North Carolina
- Ohio
- Pennsylvania
- Puerto Rico
- South Carolina
- Tennessee
- Texas
- West Virginia
The italicized states in the list above are newly introduced to the list.
