Several hours ago (or, rather, a few hours ago, depending on where you are located and how long you’ve been attempting to get in), the Starbucks Card site was not authenticating card holders and new registrants because of the massive influx of traffic in response to the free Wi-Fi announcement by Starbucks [SBUX].
As of approximately fifteen (15) minutes ago, I was able to authenticate into the site as an existing Starbucks Card holder and access my profile data and card balance information.
This is great news for folks who need to check, reload, and review their Starbucks Card balances. I haven’t had the opportunity yet to test the AT&T Free Wi-Fi offer section of the site and the integration point between the Starbucks Card user authentication and the AT&T Wi-Fi TOS site and feature activation site (yet).
Wish me luck!
