They’re touting it as a “developer gathering“. I’d probably categorize it much more closely as a “technical conference”. Whatever you’d like to call it, it’s firing up later today, for two days (May 28-29) in San Francisco, CA.

This year’s topics include a couple of topics that are of great interest to a lot of us:

  • Android – the SDK itself, and as a workable platform
  • Guice – yet another (or is it?) dependency injection framework for Java
  • Google App Engine – Guido’s actually giving a session on using Python/Django with GAE…

Oh yeah, there’s also stuff on the following ;) :

  • GWT
  • Google Gears
  • Google Data APIs
  • OpenSocial
  • Google Maps API
  • Sundry AJAX stuphs

Fun times, fun times!
